Hey friends!
Hope you've enjoyed the first two weeks of the New Year! Can you believe it's been that long already? Actually, to me it feels like it's been 2009 for a month already. I think it might have something to do with being on WinterJam! Touring often feels like being in a time warp. I've noticed that more on this tour than on others I've done. There is just so much going on all the time, and days are so long, that 4 days go by and you're convinced it's been a week and a half! I can't explain it. You'll just have to take my word on this one! ;) But it's a blast, and I'm so grateful to be doing what I love for a living. Can I encourage you this morning in something a friend told me yesterday? He said, "I don't do what I do as an artist because it's my dream--I do it because it's my calling." It's good to have a dream, and it's how God prepares us for what He's called us to. But there comes a point in the midst of your dream that you may not feel up to it. It's then that you keep going because you've been called by God. No matter what your calling is--teacher, mother, doctor, painter, friend--if today is a day you feel weary, remember that God has called you to this, and only you can do it! You are "free to be you!"

I'm Lizzy. 15 years of age. I saw you at TCTC in January. I was the red head that kept saying, "You're my hero", "I love you", "Francesca look I have on your shirt." When I saw you, I lost complete control. Remember me? You really are my hero. It is actually my dream to become a gospel singer. I like to sing the same style of music you sing. I know God is so proud of you. I sing a lot. My mom is going to call the guy with the local studio in a couple of weeks, and I am recording some songs. Free to be me is one of them... :o)

Thanks for your inspiring words...blogs like that just put more power behind your strong lyrics and melodies, just proof that you're singing what you believe!
