The Grammy Awards

Hey friends!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the experience of a lifetime traveling to Los Angeles for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards! My song “Free To Be Me” was nominated in the “Best Gospel Performance” category. Even though I didn’t take home an award, it was an honor just to be nominated and included among such fine company. What a day it was!

The Grammy Awards is an incredible event. It's like a musical “family reunion” where artists and music industry professionals gather together for one evening. There were some great performances, and it was so much fun to see the show up close and personal. I learned by attending the pre-show that nearly 100 awards are presented in the pre-show and only about ten are actually given during the broadcast. Who knew?!

A big thanks to each of you for all your support and encouragement over the past year… it means the world to me! And here's to next year... :)

I, personally have just become a new fan. When I first heard your music, it completely inspired me. It spoke to me in ways that I never thought possible. I am a singer myself, and I love to hear different types of artists. The reason I truely think God sent me your music is because I am not going through the best times.
