Trusting an unpredictable God...

I think it’s probably bad form to quote your own song in a blog. I’m sure it is. But nonetheless, I’m reminded today how unpredictable God can be. When I think I know everything that’s coming, when I think I can put my life into a perfect little box, scheduling every moment to a “t,” that’s when God steps in to remind me that His plan is above my plan. His thoughts are higher than my thoughts, and His ways are higher than my ways. My plan is not infallible, not indestructible. God can change anything at any moment. Lord, let me never get too proud to forget that. I love You. I need You. Amen.

I agree with Mr. Joshua. It's not bad form. In fact I quote this song a lot when talking to friends or posting stuff. It really is a great reminder, so why shouldn't you be allowed to quote your own stuff? :D

Bad form? Nah.
Were you writing secular songs about vanity and false pride like so many other artists, I would agree that it is bad form, but God gave you a gift in music, so if you want to quote those inspirational songs of yours, go right ahead. I am more than certain that this helped someone, as well as me. I'm constantly having to remind myself that I am not the one in charge and that I should pass on my assumed authority and just let God do his work through me.
